IAF Pilot Abhinandan Parents Arrived to Receive Him

As the Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman is going to be released by Pakistan today, his parents Marshal S Varthaman and Shobha Varthaman took a flight late night from Chennai to Delhi.

The couple received a standing ovation from the passengers of the flight and they cheered and took photos, making the way to the seats for them.

The plane landed at Delhi around 1 AM and then the couple left to Amritsar to receive their son Abhinandan who is said to be handed over by Pakistan to India at about 2 pm, at the Wagah border.

Abhinandan Varthaman was captured by Pakistan army after aerial combat between Pakistan and India on February 27th. India demanded the immediate safe return of Abhinandan.

With the global pressure, finally, Pakistan decided to release him and announced the same yesterday.

Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the nation known for his non-violence revolt against the British rule. It was January 30 th , 1948 when he had his last breath.
